About Crew Club Union
Crew Club Union covers UK club riding, bike gear and kit buying: practical ride guides, single-product reviews, shortlists and straight A-versus-B comparisons. Research-led, independent, and written for riders who would rather know the trade-offs before they spend.
What this site is for
Crew Club Union is a UK cycling site for anyone who rides with a club, is thinking about joining one, or is simply working out what to put in their kit bag. We cover club rides and the practicalities around them, bike gear, and kit buying guides — helmets, jerseys, lights, locks, shoes, tools and the rest. If you are new to group riding and unsure what a Sunday run actually asks of you, or you have been riding for years and want a straight answer on whether a piece of kit is worth the money, the site is written for you.
How articles are researched
Everything here is built from information that is already published and checkable: makers' own specifications and product descriptions, retailer listings including sizing and price, and public customer feedback such as shop reviews and rider forum discussion. We read across several sources rather than one, note where they disagree, and say plainly when something is unclear or unproven. We do not claim laboratory testing or long-term test rides, and we do not pretend to have ridden everything we write about.
Independence and commission
Recommendations are editorial and independent. Some links on this site are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you buy through them — it costs you nothing extra and it never decides what appears in a guide or how a product is described. Anything that looks like a poor buy gets said out loud.
Getting in touch
Corrections, disagreements and suggestions are all welcome — if a price has moved or a specification has changed, we would rather fix it. Email [email protected] and we will take a look.
